Software Installation Guide for Faculty/Staff

Please review the information below regarding the options available to Faculty and Staff to install software.


Fac/Staff SPU-Managed Computers


Classroom/Lab Computers

Faculty and Staff may install software through  Software Center  on their SPU-managed devices.  There are dozens of programs available depending on your role.  Note that you do not need run Make Me Admin prior to installing software through Software Center.

Make Me Admin

We protect faculty and staff computers by only allowing your machine to run in Admin mode when you need it.  Please review instructions for Make Me Admin before proceeding with any other software installs or other configuration changes you may need.



Classroom/Lab Computers


Review our documentation regarding Academic Software, which includes a form for requesting installation of new software on classroom or lab computers.

Personal Computers


Select software is also available for installation on personal, non-SPU-managed devices.  Please see SPU Download Center for more details on what software applications area available and how to download and install them.
