Record Video or Audio in Canvas
- From the Content Editor in Canvas, select the film roll icon.
- In the 'Record Media' tab, title your recording.
- Click anywhere in the black screen to start recording.
- When you are finished recording, click anywhere to stop.
- Press save.
Upload Directly into Canvas
- From the Content Editor in Canvas, select the film roll icon.
- In the "Upload Media" Tab, select whether you would like to upload an audio or video file.
- Find the file you want to upload on your computer and upload it.
- Your uploaded media file will display as a comment. After you save your work, this will become a thumbnail for the video.

While you can create videos using Canvas' record feature, ETM recommends using Panopto instead for the creation of course videos and hosting.
