Percipio is an online training repository.  It stores both compulsory as well as optional professional development trainings for faculty and staff at SPU.  The online interface allows flexibility in time and location of the training. Results of any compulsory trainings are automatically sent to the appropriate supervisory person(s). Percipio is was formerly known as Skillsoft or Skillport.

  • Harassment Prevention (30 minutes)
  • Accident Prevention  (15 minutes)
  • Chemical Hazard Communication (15 minutes)
  • Title IX (30 minutes)
  • Campus Security Obligations Under Federal Law (30 minutes)

Percipio is also the tool in which participants can register for Professional Development Workshops.

Designed For

This service is utilized by employees of SPU.  

Supervisors can use Percipio to assign custom trainings.  Please refer to the Assign an Asset to a Learning Plan instructions to get started.   

Getting Started

To access Percipio:

  1. Go to the SPU applications page, via spu.edu > mySPU > View All > Faculty & Staff tab, under the Employment section choose Percipio.
  2. If you're already logged into an SPU resource you'll be logged into Skillsoft automatically; otherwise you'll be prompted for your SPU login credentials.
  3. When you first access Percipio, you will be prompted to select topics of interest. This will dictate what kind of professional development videos Percipio will suggest. 

To complete a required training: 

  1. Log in to Percipio.
  2. In the middle of the screen, any university required trainings will be listed under My Assignments. 
  3. Click View Compliance or Launch Compliance Training to open Percipio Compliance.
  4. Click on a training to begin.

To view professional development trainings:

  1. Log in to Percipio.
  2. At the top of the screen, click Library. 
  3. Browse for trainings based on skill areas.

Administration and Maintenance

Percipio is a third-party, software as a service (SAAS) tool. It is administrated by Human Resources and maintained by the vendor, Skillsoft.
