Remove Registered Personal Devices

In order to use SPU's wireless networks, devices need to be registered through a service called PacketFence.

If you are attempting to register a personal phone or laptop  with our network, please see the SPU-Wireless Internet Access page.

If you are attempting to register a non-browser device, such as a Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4, please see the Registering Non-Browser Devices for Network Access page.

To remove a registered personal device, perform the following steps:

  • Log into https://pf.spu.edu/status using your SPU credentials.

  • Once logged in, you be able to see your registered devices.

If you would like to unregister any device, all you will need to do is click the 'Unregister' button.  You might, for example, choose to unregister a device if you sold it to someone.  As long as a device is registered to you any activity or problems associated with the device will also be associated with you personally.

The 'Declare as lost or stolen' option will flag the device in such a fashion that it will not be able to successfully connect to SPU's network and you will automatically be notified by email if it attempts to connect. Please be aware that if you recover the device and wish to again use it on SPU's network, you will have to contact our office to have the "lost/stolen" flag deactivated. If you would like to report a crime, please contact Campus Security at (206) 281-2922.
