Handshake is used by the Center for Career and Calling and the Office of Student Employment to manage employment events and student career documentation. Students use the system to connect with potential employers and take advantage of career/networking events. Academic departments can also use the system to manage internships for their students. Students who are completing an internship for course credit must submit their learning form via Handshake prior to enrollment in the internship course.
You can check the system status here, in case the service is temporarily down or impacted. Questions not covered in the above documentation can be submitted to the Center for Career and Calling.
Administration and Maintenance
Handshake is a vendor-supported, web-based tool. Within SPU, the Center for Career and Calling and Office of Student Employment have administrative account. CIS supports the integration between Banner and Handshake and processes administrative account requests made through Banner Self-Service.
